US Greco-Roman National Team Leadership and Character Development show #20

Captain Charlie Plumb is a True American Hero, and a real Living Legend. As a graduate of the US Naval Academy, Charlie was one of the original inventors of Top Gun. After 74. Successful flight missions on his 75th mission over Vietnam, a surface to air missile hit his aircraft, and he ejected over Vietnam.

Captain Plumb spent 2103 days in confinement and imprisonment as a POW in the notorious Hanoi Hilton during the Vietnam War, where he suffered torture, isolation, and confinement yet still served as Chaplain for the other POWs. Charlie was one of less than 600 POWs to make it out of Vietnam.

Captain Charlie Plumb has been awarded the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, two Purple Hearts, Legion of Merit, Presidential Unit Citation, Combat Action Ribbon, and the POW Medal for his service.

Upon returning to the USA, Captain Plumb wrote an autobiography

“I’m No Hero”, now in its 33rd printing, that shed light on the plight of the prisoners of war in Vietnam. If you would like a copy, order from Charlie’s website, and he will be glad personalize it with his autograph.

Captain Charlie Plumb has lived what he believes to be the American Dream. Although he spent 6 year in a POW camp in Vietnam.

To this day, at age 77 Captain Plumb continues to fly left seat at every opportunity.
